(L-R, a rehearsal shot, on stage with the cast, having my hair and makeup done, cast and crew at the afterparty with bonus! Rob Shearman for some reason, with casting director Caley Powell, the programme, leaving stage door, the auditorium.)

Yesterday I had the singular experience of acting in my own play in the West End.

My female-led play ‘Tortoise’, about the experience of women patients in the psychiatric industry, debuted yesterday thanks to the efforts of the wonderful Greg Mosse and the Criterion Theatre.

I don’t quite know what to say. What a remarkable experience. The audience seemed to really love it – at least, there was a lot of laughter; much more than we ever expected.

A lot of positive feedback from the industry guests, and things are looking good for a full production!
